Residents can book a test on the Othena app or request a ride to their appointment.
2

If the result is positive, they get qualified medical advice to begin treatment.

Positive result
- Residents can schedule an appointment with a provider directly after receiving their positive test result on the Othena app. For the best results, treatment must begin within five days of the first sign of symptoms.
- During their telehealth appointment, residents and providers can discuss treatment options and prescribe antiviral medications like Pfizer’s Paxlovid or Merck’s Molnupiravir. According to HHS, these medications “can help prevent severe illness and hospitalization when taken soon after symptom onset.”
- Residents can pick up their medication at their local pharmacy or have it delivered straight to their door within 24 hours at no cost with their insurance plan.
- After taking the medication over a five day period, residents can schedule a follow-up appointment with their provider to evaluate the success of the treatment plan and discuss next steps.
